Guardian: Journey to the heart of the house price bubble

Story in the Guardian: Journey to the heart of the house price bubble on the fast increase of house price rises in London, making most properties, including the really inferior ones, unaffordable for the middle class.

Who can really afford a home in London? Certainly not normal people. That’s an issue that doesn’t seem to have much of an echo in the press, although it’s infinitely more important for a lot of people living in London – particularly for the young – than all the non-issues tabloids drag to the surface every day. Surprising that it’s not considered a scandal big enough to kick up a stink about it.
