The Guardian: Conservative links to Murdoch under scrutiny as private meeting revealed

The Americans swept aside their strict rules on cross-media ownership during the eighties, to accommodate Murdoch – and you see the result: the rabid Fox News channel, employing 4 out of 5 Republican presidential candidates for the 2012 elections and the Tea Party, which enjoys the unconditional support of Rupert.

In Italy the media magnate Silvio Berlusconi has been prime minister for 16 years in total, with no real rivals either on the left or right – and he plans to stand for areinforced presidency of the republic next. Considering that he openly admires the dictator Mussolini, it’s not difficult to guess what the future holds in store for Italy.

So, now you are going to have something similar in the UK?

Considering Rupert’s track record, I wouldn’t be surprised if, once he gets an even better grip on the UK media, he ditched the conservatives and started supporting the likes of UKIP or the BNP, who are closer to his political line.
Good luck guys – you will need it
